Tell Us About Your First Time and Win a Samba Feast!

Hi Drivers!

We have a $40 Gift Certificate for Samba's Brazilian Steakhouse in Vancouver and we're itching to give it away!

Leave a comment telling us about your first car - what it was, how it felt to get it, what it meant to have it, anything else you think might be interesting to be entered into the draw. We will draw a winner on June 20, 2011.

Happy Driving!

  1. My first car was a 1988 Suzuki Samurai and I loved evervything about. It was green and had a black soft top and I had ripped out the carpets. I loved the sun on my face and my hair blowing in the wind. I felt independent and my first loan - on my way to building my credit.

  2. Love it Darci! My first car was a Mazada 323 Wagon. It was blue and I totally loved it! I managed to move a bed chesterfield in the back, was the carpool queen on campus and got it to nearly 400,000 kms before it died. I bought it with my savings bonds that my grandma had given me over the years.

  3. My first car is my current car--and I did so much research on it before I bought it. It was my first loan, and I remember being so worried about the cost of it. I was so determined to get the Nissan Versa SL with the CVT transmission (which is still my favourite part about my car). Love the bright red color, and the fact that I used it to carry construction material in it during my house renovations!

  4. My 1st car was a 1965 Comet I had in 1985 - It was blue/grey, w/ white leather seats, no seat belts and a stylish interior - It was an automatic, but when you put the pedal to the metal you could here the engine change gears - and than a thud - and VaVoom - power! One time I was leaving church and when i got to the road the brakes failed - I was going towards the road slowly pumping the brakes to no avail - my car went on the road and fortunately by the grace of god, there was no traffic!
